Nuking climate change
The world's safest clean energy source is the least understood
Nuclear power has gotten a bad rap. When something goes wrong, it makes worldwide news. But if you look at the average deaths per energy output it becomes clear that nuclear is our safest source of energy, while emitting zero emissions. And with today's advances, nuclear has become even more safe and efficient than it was in 2012.
We have enough nuclear power to supply our growing energy needs for the next 200 years while we crack the code to true renewables. Any serious climate plan has to include responsible investment and deregulation of nuclear energy to get us to net zero as quickly as possible.
I will support policies that create a free market in nuclear energy, cut unnecessary regulations, keep plants from shuttering early, and invest in the production of new nuclear plants and technologies.
